Writers comment: I had done very well around this area during the 90s, and while I was in the Tampa area again from 2011 to 2015 I kept a close eye on it.  Finally, about 6 months before my departure (Again), a small part of the site opened up when the city razed two houses to put in a parking lot.  Really they were razing houses to keep them from burning I think.  If you look at the aerial of the ball fields on the last page of this article, you can see graphically the value of aerial archeology.  Spotting shapes and forms in aerials phototgraphs, especially OLD aerial photographs, can be a real boon to the TH'er.  The area we dug is almost exactly in the lower right corner, though a little to the right of this pix.  The houses were directly across the street from the ball field on the corner, which is cut in half by the pictures lower right border.
